LADIES  TRIPLES

An interesting game with little between the teams of Chris Ashton, Kaye Hackett & Jacky Etherton against Kelly White, Muriel Hill & Kirsty Maroz. In slightly windy conditions, Chris's team slowly pulled clear in the final stages to take the title.

OPEN  SINGLES

In a match described as "a Masterclass" by one spectator, both Lawrence Hodges and Peter Saxon entertained the gallery with a first class match played in very friendly spirit.
'Hodgy' pulled away at the start and kept his nerve to win the title. The match was marked by Allyn White.

MEN'S  SINGLES

The Men's Singles, played in good spirit in front of intrigued onlookers, saw Jim Scott romp away to a good start against Peter Saxon. Despite Peter putting up a good show, Jim continued keeping his foot on the pedal and was the worthy winner of the title. The match was marked by past champion Eddie Mastrantoni.

MEN'S  PAIRS

The Men's Pairs final proved challenging for all the players and was played over two days!

Hodgy and Jamie McDonald played the best in the atrocious weather conditions on day one, and were leading against Peter Saxon and Eddie Mastrantoni when greenkeeper Kevin Booth stopped play, as the green became unplayable.

On day two, in far more pleasant conditions, Peter and Eddie pulled back, briefly taking the lead, but in a nail biting last end, Hodgy and Jamie proved too strong and took the title.

LADIES  DRAWN  PAIRS

In a very close match for the Drawn Pairs, led much of the way by Alison Greenwood and Sue Hughes, opponents Sylvia Exton and Phyllis Orr managed to gain the lead in the last couple of ends. An exciting match to watch for the spectators.
