Dumping of Bowls
The committee has reviewed the club's approach to members who “dump” their bowls. The reason for this has been the large investment in our new green and to act on advice from the installers that dumping can cause long term damage.
Members who believe they have an issue can approach a member of the committee to discuss how we can work together to remedy the situation. If this does not occur then a member of the committee will approach the member who has been identified as dumping.
All members are valuable and it is not the intention of this policy to victimise anyone but to protect the greens for the long term. It is our aim is to retain all current members for many years to help build our club. The club will help you change.
Members identified with a dumping problem will need to change the way they deliver the bowl so it is delivered at an acceptable level to the playing surface.
If this policy is ignored or a member does not take steps to make the necessary changes then the committee has the power to suspend the member from using the greens.
To assist members consider how they may remedy their dumping of the bowl, the club has produced a document outlining options for members to consider.
If anyone would like clarification please speak to a member of the committee.
