This year's Club Championships began in style due to Vice President Kelly White organising a Brunch
prior to the first games of the championships.
New member David van Zanen cooked up a sumptuous breakfast including bacon, eggs, beans & chipolatas.
This was followed by scones generously provided by Beck's Bakery.
Little wonder that there needed to be a break before players took to the Green!
A big thanks to David, Kelly & the many other volunteers who helped make the day a great success,
along with family and friends for coming along to support the players.

On Thursday 6th July 2023, the Club hosted a morning tea welcoming Amanda Rishworth MP, ALP, along with her P.A..
Amanda played an integral part in the Club successfully obtaining a grant for new chairs,
and presented a 'Stronger Communities Grant Recipient' certificate to the Club. The grant panel concluded that the Christies Beach Bowling Club plays a very important role in the community.
The new chairs will provide much improved comfort and safety in our lounge area.
Amanda chatted with all of the members present and her visit was very well received.

The President's Day on Sunday 2nd April 2023 was a great success.
Club members heartily approved the award of Life Membership to Betty Middleton,
who has devoted a large part of her retirement time to the Club in numerous roles.

There was a superb response for this year's Biggest Morning Tea, with the Club filled to capacity
by members & guests enjoying fun, games & general entertainment.
A splendid total of $2,600 was raised for this very worthy cause.
Thanks went to Jean Hopwood who headed the team of fundraisers.

This year's French Breakfast was a sell out, with a splendid spread organised by Kelly White
& her enthusiastic band of helpers.
Everyone enjoyed a hearty meal & certainly didn't need any lunch!
